Nature is telling us something.
The climate emergency is telling us to hit the reset button on how we generate and consume energy—time to rethink our whole energy game plan. Not a big news.
A deep transformation is emerging, but we are not moving fast enough.
Renewables are taking center stage, but what else is on the horizon?
Should nuclear energy play a more significant role in the future energy mix?
Should we aim for a complete electrification of our industrial assets and transportation fleets? How can we prevent grid overload, then? Should we invest in more transmission lines or storage solutions? Or could AI be our guiding maestro, orchestrating the balance?
Should we unlock the potential of hydrogen, using it as both a feedstock for the chemical industry and a versatile energy carrier?
Should we reduce our reliance on oil and gas production? Absolutely-if the capacity of renewables ramps up swiftly and if we overcome the challenge of intermittency. Hydrogen could step into the spotlight once more.
Low-carbon and cost-effective solutions should also be adopted at large scale to reduce the CO2 footprint of fossil fuel operations. Could CCS be a game-changing piece of the puzzle?
And the flow of questions just keeps coming. We might feel like we're venturing into the unknown, but it's crucial to tackle these challenges with both diligence and ingenuity. Energy fuels our world, and our well-being is dependent on finding the right answers.
Technologies and people are the forces propelling our progress. We are on the right path, and to truly succeed, we need effective leadership, deep technical expertise and commitment.
We have been in the energy business since 2007.
In 2007, the same year LGR Consulting was founded, we signed our very first contract with an international oilfield services company.
That project was challenging—it involved helping the Norway-based team develop modules of seismic data acquisition and processing system to enhance subsurface imaging and reservoir characterization. This system ended up being used worldwide.
From there, one project led to another:
designing FLNG systems, developing gas liquefaction and regasification systems, installing subsea and topside equipment in the Norwegian Sea, preparing the installation of a subsea gas compression system in one of the largest offshore fields, designing and running downhole completion tools, supervising the construction of offshore wind jackets, designing IOT systems to let the machines talk and enhance preventive maintenance, running full-scale demonstrator of waste heat recovery systems and cut energy consumption in production site…
As the energy landscape evolved, so did we. We've stayed close to our clients, supporting them through these changes in Norway and out of Norway. We have expanded our services to include management and business development in a more complex energy space.
We share the same goals with our clients: boosting renewable energy capacity and increasing efficiency in energy-intensive industries.
The journey goes on. This journey is intense and exciting.
Something about our DNA.
In our quest to combat climate change, we believe that meaningful impact arises from both individual actions and collective efforts.
We must make choices and dive in. It requires courage and pragmatism.
Science will guide us in the right direction, while clear vision, strategy and effective leadership will drive us forward.
We are obsessed with results!
